WANdisco’s JIRA Clustering and JIRA MultiSite Solutions Bring Enterprise-Class Performance and Reliability to the Latest Release of Atlassian’s Popular Issue Tracker
WANdisco, a leading provider of infrastructure software for replication, scalability and high availability, today announced that its JIRA MultiSite and JIRA Clustering solutions now support JIRA 4.0. JIRA 4.0 is the latest release of Atlassian’s popular issue tracking, bug tracking and project management solution, used by more than 11,500 organizations worldwide, including many of the Fortune Global 1000.
“JIRA’s ease-of-use and full feature set have been the keys to making it one of the most successful issue trackers in the marketplace. JIRA 4.0 builds on this success by adding integration to OpenSocial applications and enhanced search capabilities”
New features available with JIRA 4.0 include pre-built gadgets that integrate with other Atlassian products such as Bamboo, Fisheye and Confluence, as well as OpenSocial environments like iGoogle or Gmail. JIRA Query Language (JQL) is also new with JIRA 4.0. JQL dramatically enhances JIRA’s search capabilities by allowing users to construct queries using virtually any attribute in the system.
“JIRA’s ease-of-use and full feature set have been the keys to making it one of the most successful issue trackers in the marketplace. JIRA 4.0 builds on this success by adding integration to OpenSocial applications and enhanced search capabilities,” said David Richards, President and CEO of WANdisco. “When JIRA is combined with WANdisco’s proven technology, it achieves the performance, scalability and reliability that large IT organizations require and nothing else can deliver.”
JIRA MultiSite leverages WANdisco's unique, transparent replication technology to turn JIRA into a distributed, enterprise ready application lifecycle management solution that delivers local area network speed performance to users at every location, without changing JIRA’s functionality. Built-in hot backup and automated recovery features eliminate downtime, even during routine maintenance.
JIRA Clustering leverages the same transparent replication technology to overcome the performance bottleneck of a central JIRA server at a single location, with no downtime.
JIRA MultiSite and JIRA Clustering are sold exclusively by WANdisco through an OEM arrangement with Atlassian. JIRA MultiSite and JIRA Clustering can be implemented standalone or in combination with WANdisco’s solutions for Subversion and CVS.
